One Piece, Kaya's Mansion and Syrup Village Ship Yard
these are concepts done for the live action adaptation of One Piece, Kaya's Mansion and the Syrup Village ship yard. With production designer Richard Bridgland.
The dining room set where Luffy gets all fired up telling his story. The ceiling made of plates was an idea proposed to save on the cost of building an actual ceiling while bringing a whimsical look to the set.
Kaya's Mansion, the drapes covered furniture scene ended up happening in another area of the mansion while this set became the main corridor of the mansion.
Kaya's closet room concept was developed before the casting process had commenced, and during this stage, placeholder characters were used in the drawings.
